Washingtonia Robusta (Mexican Fan Palm) is a beautiful palm to grow. It's probably the most majestic palm tree around reaching heights of about 100ft. Hardy down to zone 8b (15°F or -9.4°C) this extremely fast growing palm can provide you with the best tropical look you could ever ask for.

 

Red Delicious

The Red Delicious apple tree is a great plant to grow. It has beautiful lush foliage and can be very rewarding. I see nothing about it being a hybrid anywhere on the web so I can assume logically that the tree will bear fruit. This plant can grow in very cold climates, specifically in zones 3 to 8. It blooms in late May, starts producing in late June to August with a final harvest in September. It's fruit is very sweet when picked straight off the tree, and just one of these apples a day can keep you very healthy, although good luck stopping at one. ;-)

 
The White Pine is a beautiful plant to grow. I started mine from seed. It is now 4 months old. I harvested a pine cone from a cultivated pine tree off of the parking lot of one of the stores in my area(so I got a FREE start). Find a white pine tree and harvest the pine cone straight off the tree when ripe. It's ripe even on the tree when it's open. Place all the seeds in a bowl of 

 
I was told that you can't ship live plants through the mail, they would die. I didn't believe him. After all, not everything you hear or see on the internet is true. On april 30th, I purchased a Trithrinax Campestris (Blue needle palm or Caranday Palm) from PalmsWholeSale on ebay. It showed up Friday the fourth of May even though it was supposed to arrive between the 8 and 9th, so this was fast. I immediately planted it in some dirt. It was happy. Here it is a month later:
